Movement Foundations is a 12-week integrated movement coaching program for women in their 40s who want to feel more at home in their bodies and keep developing their physical and creative possibilities for decades to come.

Movement Foundations

Movement Foundations is an integrated movement coaching program for women in their 30-50s who want to feel more at home in their bodies and keep developing their physical and creative possibilities for decades to come.

The cohort meets twice a week and is intentionally kept to a small group of participants.

That means you won’t disappear into a crowd. You’ll receive personal guidance, thoughtful feedback, and space to develop at your own pace.

Movement is personal.

Everyone arrives with a different body, history, movement vocabulary, confidence level, and set of goals.

That’s why Movement Foundations is kept intentionally small.

This allows for:

  • Individualized attention in every session
  • Personalized feedback and movement suggestions
  • Modifications and progressions suited to your needs
  • Space to ask questions and explore options
  • A supportive group environment without comparison
  • Continuity and connection for the duration of the program
  • Room for creativity, experimentation, and play

This is not a crowded class where you follow along unnoticed.

It is a carefully held movement experience where you can be seen, supported, challenged, and encouraged.

More than staying in shape.

Most of us learn how to exercise without ever learning how to move.

We collect workouts, classes, and practices without developing a larger movement vocabulary or understanding how the pieces fit together.

Movement Foundations brings them together.

Drawing from strength and conditioning, mobility, somatics, dance, locomotion, balance, coordination, rhythm, and play, we develop the capacity, literacy, and intelligence to move well.

Not just stronger.

Not just more flexible.

More capable.

Develop your movement foundations

Over 8 weeks, you’ll explore three interconnected areas:

Capacity

What your body can do.

You’ll develop foundations of strength, mobility, balance, coordination, agility, and work capacity through progressive practice.

Literacy

How well you understand and navigate movement.

You’ll expand your movement vocabulary and become more aware of how your body organizes, responds, and adapts.

Intelligence

Your ability to adapt, solve movement problems, and make choices in real time.

You’ll learn to explore options, respond to changing demands, and find more possibilities in movement.

The goal isn’t to become good at one exercise.

It’s to become good at moving.

The first 8 weeks

Eight weeks isn’t the finish line.

It’s long enough to establish a meaningful practice—and short enough to begin.

Meeting twice each week gives you the consistency to build skills while allowing time for your body to absorb, adapt, and develop.

Throughout the program, you’ll begin to:

  • Build functional strength
  • Develop usable mobility
  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Explore agility, rhythm, and transitions
  • Increase body awareness
  • Expand your movement vocabulary
  • Develop confidence in unfamiliar movements
  • Discover more expressive and creative possibilities
  • Receive individualized guidance and feedback

The goal isn’t to finish transformed in 8 weeks.

It’s to change your trajectory.

To feel the difference between simply exercising and actually developing your physical capabilities.

And to leave with a foundation you can keep building on.

This is the beginning, not the end.

This may be right for you if…

Movement Foundations is designed for women in their 30s to 50s who:

  • Want to remain active, agile, and physically capable
  • Care about how they will move in the decades ahead
  • Want to build strength and mobility without chasing extremes
  • Feel motivated by creativity, dance, fitness, outdoor activity, or embodied learning
  • Want to improve balance, coordination, and movement confidence
  • Are curious about movement as both training and expression
  • Value individual attention and thoughtful coaching
  • Are willing to commit to meeting twice a week for 8 weeks
  • Want to develop a practice they can continue beyond the program

You do not need to be athletic, flexible, coordinated, or experienced.

You do need curiosity, consistency, and a willingness to begin where you are.

An application process designed for mutual fit

Because the cohort is limited to a small group, enrollment begins with a consultation to help us understand:

  • Your current movement experience
  • What you want to develop
  • What you hope to gain from the program
  • Any relevant injuries, limitations, or considerations
  • Whether the twice-weekly schedule is realistic for you
  • Whether the small-group format and coaching approach are a good fit

It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether Movement Foundations feels right for you.

This is not about being “good enough” to participate.

It’s about creating a group where each person can be appropriately supported and where the program can meet the needs of the participants.

Once the cohort reaches capacity, registration will close and a waitlist will open for the next available cohort.

A practice that continues beyond 8 weeks

Movement Foundations is the first stage of a movement practice designed to last a lifetime.

After completing the program, alumni will receive access to new offers and programs designed to support continued development in areas such as:

  • Strength
  • Power
  • Athleticism
  • Skill
  • Conditioning
  • Creative movement
  • Advanced movement exploration
  • Performance and collaborative work

Help shape what comes next

The program will evolve with each cohort.

You’ll be invited to share feedback about your experience, what supported your learning, what could be improved, and what you’d like to explore next.

Your feedback will help refine the program and make each iteration more responsive, useful, and meaningful for future participants.

By joining, you won’t just participate in a program.

You’ll help shape the development of an evolving movement practice.

Apply for the next cohort.
